Peter Gibbons: What would you do if you had a million dollars?

Lawrence: I’ll tell you what I’d do, man, two chicks at the same time, man.

Peter Gibbons: That’s it? If you had a million dollars, you’d do two chicks at the same time?

Lawrence: Damn straight. I always wanted to do that, man. And I think if I had a million dollars I could hook that up, cause chicks dig a dude with money.

Peter Gibbons: Well, not all chicks.

Lawrence: Well the kind of chicks that’d double up on a dude like me do.

Peter Gibbons: Good point.

Lawrence: Well what about you now? what would you do?

Peter Gibbons: Besides two chicks at the same time?

Lawrence: Well yeah.

Peter Gibbons: Nothing.

Lawrence: Nothing, huh?

Peter Gibbons: I’d relax, I would sit on my ass all day, I would do nothing.

Lawrence: Well you don’t need a million dollars to do nothing, man. Just take a look at my cousin, he’s broke, don’t do shit.

Huanchaco – Peru

Lawrence couldn´t be more right!  You don´t need a million dollars to do nothing, just swing up to the northern coast of Peru.  Huanchaco is a great place to kick back, sip on some drinks, and find different ways to waste the day.  Your five o´clock beer time slowly moves to earlier in the day as you sit on your patio and watch the ocean waves break on the beach across the street.  The most taxing event is comprised of walking the half mile to the grocery store to pick up some food and more rum or walking across the street to have yet another slice of what Sally and I both agree is the best apple pie ever created.

There is of course the cheap option of learning to surf and it was on the list of things to do.  But as the days passed by and the enjoyment of living out Peter´s dream, nothing seemed to prevail over all other decisions, well nothing and a small other deciding factor  (A stomach various I had for the last five days made it seem like someone was making a chocolate milkshake using my ass and forgot to put the lid on when they hit the on switch).

We meet some cool people who also enjoyed the relaxed nothingness of Huanchaco.  Fletch is a chef by trade who decided to pull the plug on opening his own restaurant just moments before the big investment.  With a large amount of capital and some newly created free time on his hands, he decided to ride his motorcycle around the world instead.  We hope to be keeping up with WheresFletch.com

We now sit on our fifth and final day of doing nothing.  Our remaining schedule in Peru includes several long bus rides and a little bit of exploring.  Apparently there is this pretty cool area in Peru that has some kind of ruins that are worth checking out.
